One way to do madras

Getty Images

Bill Murray at Cannes. I once owned the twin to Bill's jacket (Ralph), and unfortunately gave it away, not knowing it c/sh/ould be worn with a louder shirt. Maybe if I got the coat back...
or

Perhaps the airline lost his bags and this ensemble was all that was available in lost and found.

Bill Murray, by virtue of being Bill Murray, can get away with things that you and I cannot.

Would I ever put together an outfit like that? No.

I look at the picture (loud as it is), and I say to myself, "that's Bill Murray". It seems fitting somehow.

I wondered about that myself, thinking maybe I'm not in on the joke, which is true.

Even without the jacket that would be an interesting outfit.

Yes! The pants! As the street wear bloggers are fond to say "He makes that look his own!" and he can keep it.

...and it looks like that Hallmark card, "Don't drink and dress."

FYI. The jacket came from Waterbrothers Surf & Skate in Newport. Ri. Owner Sid Abruzzi sent him over one of his Tshirts when he was in town Filming. Murray stopped by and bought the jacket
