Happy Festivus

It's why Christmas is in December. It's why the last month of the year is the 10th month (Dec), not the 12th.

It's Festivus.

Festivus celebrates being alive at a time when it is hard to be alive. Before Yahweh, before Jesus, before Buddha men celebrated that great storms hadn't destroyed them, famine and drought hadn't killed their crops, animals and families.

Families prayed their crops would grow, wild animals wouldn't devour them, that they would survive to do it all over again next year. Then they feasted.

Festivus as old as man, and still as relevant.

Party on, you survived, you earned it.

We lean towards the minimalist, table top variety Festivus pole, but go with what works. Always!

Let's not forget the Feats of Strength, I think I might be able to take the Suburban Princess in an arm wrestle! :)
Wishing you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and all the very best for the New Year!

I do have a grievance. It's likely to snow before I get all the chickens home.
